This week I’ve been feeling especially grateful. Last week I put out a call on my blog (see this post) for people to nominate deserving families to receive a free shoot and photo goodies from me during this season of giving. My original thought was that I would choose one family to gift the shoot to, and all would be well. I had no idea how these stories would effect me. I won’t share details because everything needs to be confidential, but with each submission I received (5 total), my heartstrings were tugged a little harder. It felt so wrong to choose just one family and label them as the most deserving when so many people are struggling right now. So I’m choosing all of them.
It’s easy to forget how good we have it. I’m guilty of that. I’ve posted numerous times about how naughty my kids can be. I’ve complained about the most insignificant things time and time again. And then I remember how beautiful and blessed my life truly is. There are so many uncertainties in life, but I know this much is true: I am loved, and that really is all I need.

I’m with Blair. You’ll know doubt want to rest for the holidays and see what is next, but it’s been a fantastic project. I really have enjoyed getting to know you and your family better, through it.
