I hate to disappoint everyone so early into my P52 of 2012, but I really don’t have anything great to say this week.  The end of the week (and my deadline) snuck up on me.  I had a dream last night that I had the perfect words and picture for my P52, and when I woke up this morning, I tried desperately to recall everything in my dream so I could craft the most perfect and eloquent paragraph.  I couldn’t remember anything.  And this paragraph sucks.

One of the good things about this project is it forces me to keep shooting my family (with a camera, not a gun).  It’s so important to keep taking pictures- and even more important to get them off of your camera or computer and get them printed.  Most of my friends use their iPhone as their main camera (I am guilty of that as well) and then the pictures of their kids live on that phone for…… ever?  I just discovered a great App called Postal Pix where you can order your iPhone pictures with one click and have them delivered right to your mailbox!  Genius! (disclaimer: I do not work for Postal Pix.  I am not being endorsed by Postal Pix.  I do not care if you get your pictures from Postal Pix or not.  I will stop plugging Postal Pix now).

I’m sorry I’m so boring this week.  I’ll try harder for next week!

This weeks picture is from this morning– Abby and Oliver were watching some ridiculous cartoon before school (yes, I let my kids watch TV before school, flame away), so I changed the channel to the local news and captured their expressions. Pretty serious stuff going on in the real world.

At least I didn’t cry this week!
But you did make me laugh—until the “news” part—-it’s scary for me, I can’t even imagine what the beautiful minds of children must be thinking!
I still love you

Good technique to get a great picture. Moving from kids morning shows to the news…I think there is more to explore on this theme. I remember when Jamie was little, she asking so many startling questions I had to stop watching, for her sake and mine. What was I thinking to have it on at all with her in the room.
