Life with Lila….

Lila turned 3 yesterday and for the few weeks leading up to her birthday she would say that she was already 3.  Well now that she is actually 3, she’s saying that she’s 4.  Go figure.  But really, that’s just life with Lila.  She typically wants what she can’t have (17 juice boxes a day, an iPhone, to be a boy), and she’s a tantrum pro so life in our house is pretty loud.  If you tell her to sit, she’ll stand.  If you tell her to be quiet while you’re trying to watch one of your other kids in a school performance, she’ll scream, “WHAT DID YOU SAY MOMMY?!” And if you want her to stay young and small and cute and 3, she’ll insist that she’s already 4.     And that is exactly why we love her.  She’s the perfect blend of sweet and sour, she keeps us on our toes, and she makes us laugh every single day.   Happy Birthday to you my sweet baby girl.

I was experimenting with taking pictures from different viewpoints.  I was trying to take a non-traditional picture of the three kids together, and I really wanted to showcase the fact that both Abby and Oliver  had their cameras with them, and that Lila was wearing Oliver’s shoes which she insisted fit her just fine.  Here’s the result…..

Love how you capture moments with your words Danielle and your beautiful photos. I always used to have a camera in hand, our kids grow so fast and I treasure the candid moments of childhood that cover my walls. I have neglected the camera lately, too busy driving them around and keeping up with teens and tweens. You just reminded me to get it out and start clicking. Thank you 🙂

Thanks Courtney!! My problem is not taking the pictures, it’s getting them off my computer after! I have bare walls- and a million pictures of the kids living on my computer.
