She texts my dad on a pretty regular basis. She’ll send him sweet messages saying “Hi Boppa, I love you. I miss you” which I know probably make him cry. I’ll be honest, there’s a lot I don’t love about the iPod Touch, but I’m also realistic about how technology has evolved. I know that this is the way her generation will communicate, and while I refuse to answer her requests to FaceTime me when she’s only one floor up, I will gladly accept her little love note texts that she sends me from her room from time to time.
(Just to be clear, it’s not all sunshine and roses via text over here. But I promised the kids that I wouldn’t share anything embarrassing. And they can read. So that’s all I can say about that).
