You can actually see how cold it is, right? They don’t care. At all.
I remember reading something about children and water when Abby was a newborn. It was just a single line written by a poet named Sark and it read: When they’re cranky, put them in water. It totally works! Even now- at ages 5, 8, and 10, I can throw them in a tub of warm water and all will be well.
This water is not warm. I know that even though I didn’t even dip a single toe in. I can see them shake and shiver when they climb out. Their lips are blue, their hands clasped and their teeth are lightly chattering. ….And one towel to share between 7 warm blooded cousins.
