When the Mac cousins are together, you can be pretty certain that you’ll be treated to one of their plays. The CT Macs (we identify ourselves by our states) are the playwrights and the NH and NY Macs are just lucky enough to get the great parts. I’m not going to lie, we’ve seen some pretty awful plays performed in the HHF Great Room, but not this weekend. Nope– this weekend’s play was nothing short of spectacular. There were lessons being learned uniquely played out morals and anecdotes. All of which were performed with such beautiful enthusiasm. But wait, there’s more.
The tickets were $2 each, with an additional $1 for raffle tickets to win a signed copy of their script. All proceeds are being divided and donated to the Boston Marathon Bombing victims and the Oklahoma Tornado victims. Their play at Christmas raised $100 for the families of the Newtown school shootings.
These kids are something else.
The cast of Aesop’s Fables in Vermont: Lila (who actually didn’t perform but DID heckle, age 5), Archie (10), Shep (4), Abby (10), Georgia (9), Poppy (4), Gus (8), Oliver (8). Not pictured: Sadie (almost 2).

This picture was their final curtain call after a wonderful show. The scripts were written, lines memorized, rehearsals conducted and fine performances by all. I think everyone can see the camaraderie of the cast members.

Kudos to all- the CT macs who organized and wrote original fables- the NH macs who memorized lines in 24 hours- and Shep who represented the NY macs who fully immersed himself in his impromptu cameos.

This troupe is amazing.
