I have been insanely busy the past few weeks with shoots, edits, orders, life.  And in turn, I completely forgot about my blog post this week.  Thankfully, I remembered today while I was driving Lila home from preschool.  She and I had a nice little back and forth about it, where she pretty much told me that I didn’t have to do it and that I needed to dance instead.  I like her thinking: Don’t work, just dance.  Obviously I wasn’t going to give up on this 37 weeks in!  When we came home she kept saying, “Freak the freak out!” while twirling herself around.  So I said,  “I know lovebug, I’m totally freaking out about all of my work.”  That’s not what she meant though- she wanted me to put on the song “Freak the Freak Out” which you all probably know since it’s from the show VicTORIous on Nickelodeon and let’s be honest, who doesn’t love that show?  She was serious about me not working today!  So we grabbed Abby’s iPod and had ourselves a dance party in the kitchen.  Lila is just like her mama in that she can only listen to music at full blast or not at all.  We can’t just have it on the in background- it’s too distracting.  We need it screaming from the speakers, so we can scream along, it’s way more fun that way.  Try it.

We danced around the kitchen, living room, playroom, and even jumped on the couches a few times, all while screaming along with the chorus until our throats hurt and Lila announced: “No more music.  I’m hot.”  We collapsed on the couch and I felt grateful for the break from my computer and the opportunity to spend some alone time with my girl.   And then I remembered my camera!  I begged her to let me put the music back on so I could take some pictures of her dancing, but when Lila says no, she means NO.  So I chased her.   What followed was lots of shrieking and her glorious giggle that I seriously can’t live without.  Oh, and this beautiful picture of her trying to hide behind the curtain!
