Today was awesome. For me, anyway. Two of my girlfriends from college came with their families and we had a ‘ladies who lunch’ kind of day. Yup. We did. We left seven children and three husbands behind. We realized we had never done anything like that before. We also realized that we probably should do it more often.
The dad’s kept the kids entertained by playing outside and making gingerbread houses, which were displayed on the counter for the moms to see when we came back to the house. We also noticed a lot of empty beer bottles, but we didn’t care because we had escaped and were able to just be together.
Just. Be. Together.
