Summer is….
Friday night supper club on my sister’s porch. Supper club changes all the time. Some weeks there will be 4 people sitting around the table (NO kids!), some weeks there are 24 people with plates balancing on laps and cocktails sweating by bare feet. Supper club always starts with weekly Gratitudes shared by everyone who joins. Almost everyone who comes to supper club has grown up down here in the summer. Our lives have been intertwined since we were toddlers and our friendships have spanned decades and long winters. We all know that we don’t come down here for the beach, which seems to get smaller and smaller as the years pass. We come here for the people– the community– the New Silver way of life.
That will always be my gratitude.
