Sanibel Island. Day 7.
We strolled along the shore to catch a glimpse of our last Sanibel sunset. Abby and Oliver lagged behind us, stopping every couple of steps in the tide pools to pick up different sea creatures. The breeze carried their shrieks and laughter down the beach as Tock carried Lila on his shoulders. I couldn’t help but say a genuine ‘thank you’ out loud to who ever was listening (or to no one at all, really). My heart was full. We are blessed beyond words.
In the end we never made it around the bend to see the sun dip into the sea but we were treated to a beautiful and full pink moon guiding us on our long trek home.
